Join EACP
At least until there are 1000 Full Members, there will be no joining or membership fees.
To join as a Foundation Full Member, you must email to [email protected] confirming that you are accepting the Statutes (please see the Statues of EACP section of the EACP website). In the countries where there is in English an online Register of Counselling Psychologists who are qualified at doctorate-level the link to the relevant webpage would be sufficient regarding the rest of the requirements, provided that such an online Register is under the auspice of the Psychology Association that represents that country in the European Federation of Psychology Associations.
In the rest of the cases, you must also send with the same email scanned evidence of your doctorate level qualification in "Counsel(l)ing Psychology" and, if eligibility is through a country which has State Registration / Licensing of Psychologists in general and/or of Counselling Psychologists in particular, scanned evidence that such requirements are also met. Normally, if the above evidence is not in English, then official translation should also be sent with the same email.
To join as an Associate Member, you must email to [email protected] confirming that you are accepting the Statutes (please see the Statues of EACP section of the EACP website). In the countries where there is in English an online Register of Trainee Counselling Psychologists, the link to the relevant webpage would be sufficient regarding the rest of the requirements, provided that such an online Register is under the auspice of the Psychology Association that represents that country in the European Federation of Psychology Associations. In the rest of the cases you must also send with the same email scanned evidence of enrollment in a post-graduate training course in "Counsel(l)ing Psychology". Normally, if the above evidence is not in English, then official translation should also be sent with the same email.
Please note that in countries that the profession of Psychology and/or the professional title(s) of Psychologists are regulated, applicants need to provide evidence that they conform with such requirements (in case of online registers, information of how to access these would be sufficient). In October 2012, the following links stated the list of the countries with such regulation legislation:
